Definitions: Historicist-Prophecy is continuous. Daniel and Revelation are fulfilled throughout history. Papacy is Antichrist. 5 Main Adherents-Martin Luther, John Calvin, Charles Spurgeon, John Wesley, Jonathan Edwards. Preterism-(Note: Only partial preterism, full preterism not included due to being heresy.) Prophecy is divided, ends around A.D. 70 (or as originally taught when preterism first appeared in history after the reformation, prophecy ends around A.D. 400) except the final advent. Daniel and Revelation have ended except the final advent. Nero is Antichrist. 5 Main Adherents-R.C. Sproul, J. Barton Payne, Gary DeMar, Kenneth Gentry, Bruce Metzger. Idealism-Prophecy is continuous. Daniel is fulfilled throughout history, Revelation is a picture of Church history but not historic events. Antichrist is a principle, false teachers, or papacy. Edward J. Young, D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Robert G. Clouse, Steve Gregg, Anthony Heokema. Futurism-Prophecy is divided, stops around A.D. 33 and begins thousands of years later. Daniel is divided with some events happening in history and others thousands of years after an unmentioned gap (examples: the toes of Nebuchadnezzar's vision are removed from the statue and put thousands of years into the future, the 70th week is thousands of years removed from the 69, and the head of the fourth beast is cut off and put thousands of years in the future), Revelation (with the exception of some futurist who claim the 7 Churches are fulfilled throughout history) has not and will not begin to be fulfilled for thousands of years from the writing. A politician is Antichrist. 5 Major Adherents-John Nelson Darby, C.I. Scofield, Lewis Sperry Chafer, John Walvoord, Charles R. Swindoll. PreMillenniallism-Christ returns and sets up a political rule on earth for one thousand years. AMillenniallism-No literal millennium. Millennium represents the Church age. PostMillenniallism-Church will prosper for one thousand years before second advent. PreTribulationism-Two second comings, resurrections, and raptures. One before the tribulation (this includes what is called the midtrib view which sees the tribulation as three and one-half years instead of the seven as the common futurist) and one at the end of the tribulation. PostTribulationism-Second Advent after the tribulation.

Don't know what I did, but it let me vote after I wrote here that it wouldn't work. Guess I don't know how these new voting machines work. Ha! Oh, and I voted 'other.' 'Tomorrowist' wasn't offered. Shalom, Arley

Shalom, everyone. Why is it that there are no polls that include "partial preterist/partial futurist?" I am most definitely a futurist about most of the prophecies; however, the one prophecy of our Master found in Matt. 24, 25; Mark 13; and Luke 21 often called the "Olivet Discourse" is a prophecy I view as being PARTIALLY fulfilled, while certain portions are DEFINITELY YET IN THE FUTURE. Roy Shalom Roy, and D A S, A 'Tomorrowist' is a person who believes: "If not today, Tomorrow is good." My apology. I sometimes use weird words, and forget that I shouldn't except when talking to myself. Pretrib is my calling, and the more 'Pre' the better. Thanks for not shooting at me. In Messiah, His Shalom, and clarity. Arley
