Seeing Hayseed's post in buying the "Theme from SWAT" as his first 45, I was inspired to start a thread about our favorite TV theme songs. Whether classic or current, name your favorites. The only caveat is that they were expressly written for the show. No Masterpiece theatre IOW using a classical piece or borrowing a pop hit! The Addams Family Gilligan's Island Hawaii 5-0 Batman Get Smart The Munsters Magnum PI SWAT (liked that one too) Law and Order NCIS Bonanza Battlestar Galactica Star Trek

ORIGINAL: Giggles56 Happy Days Laverne and Shirley The Mod Squad Emergency Adam 12 Starsky and Hutch The Waltons Lassie The Partridge Family I forgot about these ones! The Fonz (Henry Winkler) actually came to my high school and I got a chance to give him a mini-tour of our school. It was a technical high school. He was one of the most humble people I have ever met. When I mentioned I was a big fan of Happy Days, he said he was in awe of the education we were getting and that he was intimidated by our knowledge! Whoa! Intimidated by a bunch of HS students? The Fonz? He said he wasn't really good in school but had a great respect for education. My admiration for the man continues to this day! BTW, how about "Little House on the Prarie"? Your Waltons reference made me think of that show.
