After reading another THREAD, I am very curious to see how many have in fact seen an angel (Spouses don't count! ).

Please pick one that you identify most with.

I am looking forward to seeing the responses myself... I was one who responded that I have (only once in my Christian life) seen an angel in a vision from the Lord, about five years ago...

I don't know if I've ever seen one, though I'm sure they're there.
I do think that there was a bunch of them at the Lakeland revival last summer.

Just kidding on that last sentence.

In the beginning of my walk, I was homeless and living on the streets. The leader of the first house(institutional church) which I was sent to said that God didn't want me out on the streets and that I should check into a homeless shelter which was connected to his organization. I felt very uneasy about it, but figured that since he called himself a bishop and an apostle he knew the Lord's will better than myself. So I followed his advice. A few days after I was there, they allowed me to leave. I walked a few miles to the bus stop and sat there alone waiting to go visit my friend. I was alone, and I usually did I cracked open my bible. After a few minutes what appeared to be a black man came and sat down across from me. I kept my eyes in my bible, but couldn't ignore the very presence of this 'guy'. After a few minutes, her just started talking to me about God. From the beginning of the conversation, I was amazed and couldn't believe what was coming out of his mouth. Finally, after I was completely dumbfounded, he looked at me in such a way that there was no one else but us in the world and asked me, "Who are you going to listen to, God or to men?" I was floored. Not only did it come out of nowhere, but I had been wrestling with whether or not My Lord wanted me living the life of a homeless person or not. there was no doubt what the question was pertaining to. After he asked it, the bus came and we both got on. As I sat there, i knew what he was talking about and turned around to thank him, but he was gone. There was no way that he could have gotten off of the bus without me seeing him, no way. So I left the homeless shelter as soon as I got back and went back to the streets for a time.

I have never (to my knowledge) seen an angel, regular or fallen. However, Hebrews (13.2) says some have entertained angels without knowing it, so I guess it is possible.

I have perhaps seen a demon or 2, but they are NOT angels of any stripe so that does not count.

When I was 15 years old at youth camp I had an encounter
with demons. Then a ten year span of not ordinary things.

As DaveW says, we probably encounter things everyday we are not aware of.

Yeah, there were lots of things going on at Lakeland.
But I don't want any of it to rub off on me.

fallen angels? Oh dear... Back when I believed in the Tooth Fairy, I was laying in bed one night and saw this dark shadow- shaped like a hooded figure- approaching my bed. I ran to the door and turned on the lights and it disappeared. For a while, I thought I had seen a fallen angel.

Then I realized that Satan really has no interest in visiting a seven year old kid who believes in Jesus. He is too busy with Nostradamus, etc.

Hebrews 1 verse 14 "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"

The following is a testimony of two incidents where I believe God sent an angel to minister unto me:

In July 1993, I was driving down the highway during a blazing hot day. There, beside the rode, was an elderly gentleman hitchhiking. He was dressed up in a suit and had a small bag of belongings with him. The Lord spoke, and said, "Pick up this man." At this command, I stopped my old Datsun truck and offered him a ride. He gladly accepted as he pulled out a handkerchief and wiped the sweat from his face. I introduced myself and asked him where he was going. He said he was going to Washington, D.C. As he began to talk, I felt the presence of the Lord. This man was of a swarthy complexion. He said he was an Eskimo and came from Puerto Rico where he had been in seminary. He showed me a military identification card that reflected that he was a retired Colonel, U.S. Marines. He spoke 12 languages fluently. As I pondered this information, this verse of scripture popped into my mind, "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares" (Hebrews 13.2).

The Lord spoke to me and told me to take him the forty miles to Jesup (Amtrak station), and to give him that $100 I had in my pocket. I obeyed. Out of the mouth of this man came answers to some of my prayers I had prayed. One of these prayers was about going to Washington, D.C. I later went on this mission, and the Lord used me in a great way.

On 28 February, 2004, after church, the Lord spoke to me and told me to go to Ocala, Florida, about 160 miles from where I live. I packed a few belongings and drove on down there. When I arrived, I asked the Lord where to stay, and He directed me to the old Ritz in downtown Ocala. I booked my room, and looked around at some of the sights. I retired for the night, and woke up refreshed. I went down to the area where they served a continental breakfast. The attendant and I were the only ones there. I got a cup of coffee and a few pastries, and sat down.

Soon, in walked a young woman whose presence filled the room. She had the brightest blue eyes and a glow about her. There was a karaoke machine there, so I asked her, jokingly, if she was the singer. She then begin to sing a beautiful song, "I Can Only Imagine", a song about heaven. When she sang, it was so beautiful and peaceful. I talked with her some about the Lord, and relayed some of the burdens I was going through. She told me that God loved me, placed her hand (the warmth of her hand was incredible) on my heart, and said, "You are a good man. God loves you very much and will take care of you."

She then departed and I was left with a lasting impression of God's wonderful love. About an hour later, I went to my truck to leave, and there, posted on my window was a note. It said, "God said to me...with all the riches you've stored...you've got so much rewards to choose from...and all you want is love..You shall have it." I still have the note. I never seen her again (she could have been anywhere between the ages of 18 to 30). And the Lord has showered His love upon me. I am blessed.

I am very confident my mom, sister and I saw an angel many years ago when I was probably 5. My dad lost his wallet with cash, checkbook, and credit cards all in it. When he was at work, we prayed that God would help us find it. The second we said "amen" there was a knock at the front door. What appeared to be a elderly gentleman stood there with the wallet in hand and said something like "I believe you are looking for this." He handed it to my mom and before we could say thanks, he was gone and we had know idea where he went. All three of us believe it was an angel.
