I was just looking at how Gold City had 3 Volumes of DVD sets , each with 3 old Gold City Videos on each. I would love it if the Kingsmen would be able to do that. Get some of their old Vhs video, and re-release them on DVDs, possibly 3 on 1.

List of Kingsmen videos only on VHS so far:

Anchors Aweigh,
Mississippi Live,
Stand Up at Opryland,
The Judgement,
Live in Orlando,
Standing Room Only,
Kings Gold 3,
Kings Gold 4,
Live From the Alabama Theatre,
Back To The Beginning,
Perfecting The Crown,
Chicago Live,
You're Not Alone,
Ton of Fun Memories,
Shelter,
Georgia Live,
The Old time Way,
A Kingsmen Christmas,
Beyond The Clouds,
Live At the Peace Center.

Kingsmen Videos On DVD Now:

Live Performances From the NQC,
I'll Not Turn Back,
Honoring the Heritage Volume 2,
Kings Gold 1,
Kings Gold 2.

So , as you see , there are quite a few that could be put onto DVD formats. One could only hope!!!

Hey that is a great idea DJ. I would love to have all of them on DVD. I would really like to have the 40th anniversary on DVD. I have about wore my VHS tapes out.

Those are some great videos and yes, it would be wonderful to have them available on DVD- sadly, The Kingsmen don't own the MASTERS to alot of those projects.
They are owned by various record companies. So..we have no say-so in what gets "brought out of the vaults" and made into DVD's.

Now, we might at some point find a classic video that was done "In house" (that is OWNED by The Kingsmen) and transfer to DVD and then offer it at concerts/website..so be watching for that!

Is there no way to aquire the rights? I don't know how much that would cost, but with the legions of fans who would buy these, I would think that something could be arranged... BTW, I do have alot of those VHS on DVD....thanks to the ole' VHS to DVD dubbing that my DVD Recorder has!!!!!! But I would still buy them!!!!!
I would highly recommend to everyone that has the VHS to do this, so as not to lose these classics. I would hate to not have alot of those great videos....especially "You're Not Alone". It has a special place in my heart, since I was there for the recording.

Hey Bryan, on some of the older recordings I would bet that some of those record companies are not still in existance today or are they? If not, could you all not get the right to those since the Kingsmen are still going? This was just a thought. Anyway you guys have the best sound ever now!!!

Well, i know most of the Kingsmen Videos were either a product of Benson or Horizon.

Right, and since Horizon is still the label that they are on, it would seem like Horizon would be more than willing to do it.

Seems like the most inexpensive solution would be to add them to Amazon's mp3 track downloads. Could earn some cash and the work on the part of artists and record companies would be minimal.

Crossroads does offer most Horizon label projects in MP3 format on their website. Here's just one example:

DJS is asking about videos, of course...don't know if they've considered digging into the vaults to put videos up for individual song downloads or not.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on anything out of Benson, but you might consider writing to Horizon directly and tell them what you'd like to see.

I got to see the Kingsmen Thursday evening in SugarCreek , Ohio at the Carlisle Inn. We had a nice dinner/concert. It was great to see all the guys again, and to see Randy Crawford back with the guys again. They really have a wonderful blend now, not that they didn't with Phillip, but it is different. Loved all the Classic Kingsmen songs they did and many from the newer project. Took my Mom and our friend with us, and they Loved them. Got to talk with Bryan, Ray, Brandon, and Randy the most. Just said hello to Cody and Harold.
I had all their stuff already, but my friend bought their $40 package deal, and My Mom bought Cody's piano CD.
