i want to know someone better but i dont know how to do it. i think i like this person but i want to get to know her to see if something clicks or if we are just better off as friends. i dont want to just ask thousands of questions but i dont realy know what to talk about with her.

Can you tell us a little more? How do you know her? How long have y'all been hanging out? Do you have friends in common?

i have know her for since i was 5. we go to the same church. we have about 20 friends in common. we use to talk on face book alot cuz my parents think i am too young to be hanging out with friends with out an adult. so we never ealy hang out except oafter church. but lately it seems she is trying to avoid me. i have backed off so i dont freak her out but i dont want to completely stop hanging out with her. and her friends that are girls are doing the same thing.

i am 14. and i dont realy understand why my parents are like that but that is for another discution another time. has cross walk ever thought have a forum like this but for teens and parents?

Before I get to the advice, my first suggestion is to honor your parents. Believe me, they just want to do what's best for you.

But to get to know someone better, just talk with her. Ask questions (but in a non-pushy way) and really listen to what she has to say. You don't have to be alone to talk to her--it can be just hanging out after church. And when you're in a group, pay attention to what she says and what she expresses as likes and dislikes (but, again, in a non-stalking sort of way).
