Thanks! I just thought that seemed lower than a G. What do you use to check those notes like that? Anyway, Glenn is an incredible bass, but then, the entire group is incredible at their respective parts.

Actually I checked again, and it is a G2 or double low G... Or 3 G's below middle C... I check with the Piano... :)

I believe you, I was just curious. Now I'm really curious as to how low Glenn can really go. Anyway, harmony and good sound is more important than really low notes and Legacy 5 has got that.

I do know that his lowest recorded note is the lowest F# on the keyboard... That is a note very few bass singers can reach... He may even be able to go lower...

Baritones could be replaced cause they are just filler.

Please tell me you didn't really mean to say that...

Scott Howard is the best singer in L5, and he's not featured nearly enough.

On EDIT: I just realized this post I quoted is a few years old...oops! I thought I was looking at recent replies when I read it and responded.

While I think Scott Howard is a great baritone and has a wonderful tone... IMO Gus is the best singer L5 has got... And Scott Fowler is none to shabby... :)

Gus, Glenn and both Scotts are marvelous but I think L5 lost its best singer when Frank left.

I've never picked a personal or vocal favorite out of the guys... I think they are all equally talented. That's what makes them such an amazing group! Frank will always be my favorite tenor... but I wouldn't say that he was/is a better singer than the rest of the guys. DISCLAIMER: I will ALWAYS be the world's biggest Frank Seamans fan [;-)] . But, for those of you who haven't seen L5 since Frank left, trust me, you will not be disappointed with the new lineup. It's different without Frank, you can't replace a person like him... I will always miss him. However, he REALLY knew what he was doing when he picked Gus! He fits L5! Not like Frank, but in his own unique way. He has a very sweet, easy-to-talk-to personality, and he is a fantastic singer!! . I'm expecting great things for L5 in the future .

On the Frank note, I CAN'T WAIT until he finishes his CD with Frank Jr. and his brother, Bill. He said he was hoping to have it finished in the late spring, I think. It's gonna be great!!

I've only seen the Youtube videos that some of you have posted, but it looks like Gus is starting to get more comfortable already. And he does seem to fit in really well. Sounds like his voice blends nice and everything too. It'll be good to hear a new CD that we're not used to hearing Frank or others on the songs. I think that's when we'll really get a good feel for how he blends in.

Personally, I just booked a ticket package at the Bluegate Theater to see L5 in July. I'm definitely looking forward to it. 3rd row seats!!!

I haven't heard Gus, except on YouTube, and then the sound hasn't been all that good. But what I heard, I liked, and I agree that there appears to be a great cameraderie among the group. Gus fits in well.

I miss Frank too, and I really liked his voice. But I like the voice of every member of Legacy Five - they all sing very well indeed. However, Scott Fowler has a depth and a particular quality to his voice that I particularly like.

I have now listened to a number of groups and there is not a single group that can touch Legacy Five, in my humble opinion. They are simply the best of all the quartets. I prefer male quartets to trios, mixed groups and solo artists.

Here is a link to a facebook page where there is a video of L-5 singing Wedding Music (an old Cats song) http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1370742075

Go take a look and I think you will really enjoy it. It is a very clear video and you get a good look at Gus and the rest of the group - you need to see it for yourself!!!

Thanks for the links, Sogospelfan2 and Naomi. The singing is great! Scott H. is usually good for a laugh, isn't he?

Yes, the music player is nice. I really liked the tour page. L5's very own bus is the picture on the header! That is very special and unique! Someone really put thought into it. And the way the guys flash into the pages is cool too!

I love everything about the website! It's very slick!(that's southern talk for sleek/cool )

I haven't been on here in a while, so I've forgotten to post any of my recent concert videos! Here's a few of them... Hope y'all enjoy them!

Life Will Be Sweeter Someday - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QPZGme39M4 ... Scott cracks me up on this one! lol

I Can Hardly Wait - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWdOGozFfi8
Just Stand - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-m6AFobP5Nk
I loved these bass songs because the concert was in Glenn's hometown, so there was a lot of..."support" from the his friends and family! You'll see what I mean .

Thankful For The Change - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb5Q4h5tCyo This song really comes to life onstage! I love it!

I Stand Redeemed - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsazGkbEeBI I don't have to say anything about this one!

Faithful To The Cross - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTeewM8v6vY One of THE best songs that L5 has ever recorded! (imo )

'Til We Meet Again - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=US3bb7GLj-M I fiddled around with some titling at the beginning of this video... I am open to any suggestions or constructive criticism that you may have!

Wedding Music - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN18Sq_zP3w This video was in L5's latest e-letter, but I'll re-post it anyway...

All of these videos are from concerts within the last couple months.
God Bless!

I talked to Scott a couple of weeks ago and he said that the release of the new project has been pushed back some... They still have not finished vocals and they decided to do some orchestrations... There is no name for it yet... And I would guess that it won't be released till around July or August... That is just an educated guess on my part... Take it for what it is worth! :)

Thanks for the reply! I would rather them take their time and "get it right" instead of rushing something out...especially if We Shall See Jesus is on it.

I hear that... I know that We Shall See Jesus is the one song that they are doing some extra work on to get it just right!
