I have a year of ca. 1968 for "Sweeter As the Days Go By." Does anyone know if that's the precise year?

Daniel, according to my notes, here are the years those LPs were released:
I Know 1971 (Donnie Seabolt was singing lead)
If We Never Meet Again 1969
Just A Rose Will Do 1969
A New Day 1972 -- first LP without Lew Garrison
Peace In the Valley 1970 (I think this was their first LP with Donnie Seabolt)
Prophets -- Do you have an LP number for this one? I'm not sure which one you are referring to here. If it's Sing 3002, it's also known as "No Disappointments" and was released in 1963.
Victory in Jesus 1970
Sweeter as the Days Go By was released in 1968 or 1969. The release dates for those three for $5 specials are hard to specifically identify.
According to the Musicscribe SG History site, Donnie Seabolt only sang with the Prophets for a "brief stint", but he was actually on at least four of their recordings and sang with them for about two years.

The Prophets will be rehearsing for TV on April 7 & 8.
Shooting more episodes of our show on April 20 & 21.
Singing at our TV sponsor's Annual Biz convention
on May 2nd.
Rehearsals have already begun for our next recording:

Might even start blogging again. Our producers and sponsors are also negotiating with other Networks and stations.

Hope you had a great EASTER!!!
Please pray for me as I drive to Nashville for TV rehearsal
with THE PROPHETS...tonight and tomorrow.
And pray for Kathy's recovery from her surgery (2 weeks ago)...to
continue to progress. She missed all of our Easter activities and her
first ARC concert EVER...Saturday nite!

posted this for you earlier Kerrlaw...sorry you missed it. Our "Shoot" next week will give us enough material to complete our first Season of shows (13 episodes). We are under contract to provide 26. Editing begins week after next...more shoots will be done this summer. My understanding is that TCT is waiting til they have all 13 shows to begin airing...stay tuned! I pray that they will bless somebody.
We had fun in Wednesdy's rehearsal singing a sort of "back gospel" arrangement of DOWN AT THE CROSS and a power version of THE OLD RUGGED CROSS MADE THE DIFFERENCE. Bill beautifully performed Miss Dottie's, I CALL HIM LORD and Ed nailed THE LIGHTHOUSE. We are doing everything on the show with piano/vocals only. Pretty neat, authentic stuff! Other tunes in this shoot will include: HOW I WANT YOU TO KNOW, JUST A CLOSER WALK WITH THEE, THE LONGER I SERVE HIM, I CAN CALL JESUS, I'LL FOLLOW, AMAZING GRACE, HE LOOKED BEYOND MY FAULT, BLESSED ASSURANCE, PRECIOUS LORD TAKE MY HAND, HIS HAND IN MY MIND, JESUS WEPT, ONE THING THE FATHER FORGETS & I JUST CALL IT HOME....ALL with piano acc only. Real...traditonal, Qt music.

Thanks for praying for THE PROPHETS!
Our TV Shoot was awesome. We got every aforementioned song
on video...plus some others. Including a worshipful Medley on
THE NAME OF JESUS (Blessed Be the Name/His Name is Wonderful/
There's Something about that Name), The Old Rugged Cross and
a powerful version of WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE that features solos
by Mike and Bill. Starts with the bass on lead and closes with the
tenor belting it out! Classic Qt stuff. 13 Shows are now "Shot"...
Editing began Monday. We will cut 13 more in July-Aug.
The greatest thing was the mighty presence of the Lord
that literally slammed us as we cut the last set. Thank You Lord.
I hope it comes across on camera. Was really a special moment.
Again...thanks for the prayers!

The Prophets will announce shortly, a series of LIVE dates in several
southern states. These appearances will begin in July and run thru
Nov of this year.

The Prophets Qt members are saddened by the news of Mrs LeFevre's
passing. We are also rejoicing that she has entered the Holy City that
she sang of for so many years. Now in the arms of her Savior, she is
experiencing infinite joy in HIS presence.
I can only imagine what her sweet family reunion must be like!

Please Pray for The Prophets! A few things going on with us....
BILL BAIZE and his wife Dorcas will be traveling the next few days to see their Grandson's graduation...
EDDIE CROOK is in the midst of finishing the edits on our first 13 TV shows...he and Janice also enjoyed seeing their Grandson play baseball in the State Tournament...AND also Graduate High School last week!
Today is My 55th Birthday...and I really need prayer! But I can now get the discount at Shoneys! AMEN.

One of the baliffs at our courthouse said he "grew up" with the Prophets. I believe he said that his father pastored a church in East Tennessee that one or more of the Prophets attended. Perhaps in Elizabethton? My geezer memory is hazy.
He particularly remembered a singer named Lewis and a song called ?Just One Rose Will Do?
Does this ring any bells?

Mile he might have been talking about Big Lew Garrison. He was an excellent falsetto tenor singer.
