Thanks Kerrlaw! Yep. Ed's Dad pastored that church at one time.
"Lewis" is Big Lew, the original and longtime tenor for TPQ. Ed moved the group to Knoxville to be near Lew. The Prophets were the gospel group of Knoxville in those days. BILL BAIZE and his wife Dorcas will be traveling the next few days to see their Grandson's graduation...

EDDIE CROOK is in the midst of finishing the edits on our first 13 TV shows...he and Janice also enjoyed seeing their Grandson play baseball in the State Tournament...AND also Graduate High School last week!

Thanks Kathy...sorry i have not answered your email. We did "Because They Gave" at the Highlands on the Sunday before Memorial Day. It even blessed me! We owe so much to those who serve us all...AMEN!
I am honored that Prism has spread the song far and wide. blessed that you sang at in Coastal Carolina.

Sang BECAUSE THEY GAVE with my new solo-track, Sunday night at our Arkansas Revival Center choir concert. Many current soldiers and veterans were present. We were blessed, to encourage and thank them for their sacrifices for our Nation!

My tribute for our D-Day vets, too!

Speaking of BECAUSE THEY GAVE...We will be singing it for several of our next 13 TV Shows...which we are scheduled to start shooting in August.

Once again we have to choose and prepare 35-40 songs for the second season of shows...AND we are open to suggestions!

All of our qt numbers on the show are performed with piano and voices only. We do mostly Standards and Hymns...you know, "Favorites"
We are doing a few new songs...and in the second season will even premier a tune or two which will probably be radio singles.

Please pray for us...and the people who very soon...will see our show!

EDDIE CROOK & JOHNNY MINICK edited half of The Prophets' first season of TV Shows yesterday. They will finish the rest of the season's shows today! Please pray for them...and the Shows. We want them to touch lives and encourage people to trust and love the Lord!

We shoot the next 13 Shows in August. Pray for us to learn our tunes. To God be the Glory!

The Prophets had a great rehearsal Thursday night. We are preparing for the next TV shoot. We have got to know 25-35 "new" tunes for the next 13 shows. Added 12 songs at the Thur reheartsal. Amazing for a bunch of old guys! Amen.

We concentrated on some great ole HYMNS plus a fav and 1 brand new song...we are OPEN to suggestions again! Let us know what STANDARD or HYMN that you would enjoy hearing The Prophets sing.

Here is the list of tunes/arrangements, we just added to our rep:
LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS
TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS
LOVE LIFTED ME

...only 20+ more to go...that we have to have ready to sing for TV

PS: we are also going to be releasing a new Cd of "Prophets TV Favorites"...with 2-3 new songs and the rest Hymns & Standards...
all performed in our classic style with limited instrumentation.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!!!!

Hey folks I just got a call from Paul Jackson of the Prophets. He is asking that we keep praying for his new granddaughter. She is not out of the woods yet. He also request prayers for his son and duaghter-in-law.

I request prayer for Paul and his wife Kathy also. THis is their first grandchild and Paul has been sick. Until he has been fevor free for at least 7 days he can't be around his son or his grandbaby. The baby is Gabbi Jackson. Please continue to lift these wonderful people up to the Throne.
