I ordered it from QVC last week. It was on a five payment plan, so I jumped on it. I can't wait til it comes.

Ice cream maker? Sharon, I thought that's what the grocery store was for. LOL! Making ice cream is way too much work for me. I'll help once a year when they do it at church during the summer, but I never thought much about making it at home.

Thanks everyone for the turkey tips!! It ended up having to be cooked about an hour longer but it turned out WONDERFULLY!!!!

Ouch, Beckey!! Maybe that's a major version of what happens to me when I eat fresh fruits and vegetables. I get all itchy in my mouth and throat and it feels like it's gonna close up, but it's never as bad as what happened with you. Another reason NOT to eat them!!!!!

Our average evening around here....I was mostly taking the pictures to have some "pre-decoration" photos....so y'all could see a before and after type thing. So these are the before. Once I get the decorations up, I'll take more pics so y'all can see the after.

Beckey, I love that shot number 5616 with your mom and Evelyn!

Also on the "nail", put some good glue on it and re-insert it. At least that way it would hopefully not fall completely to the floor.

And lastly for this post... ((((Beckey))))))

Thanks for the nail glueing tip. I may do that in a few minutes.

Can you tell from the pics how teeniny our living room is? I'm thinking about putting the new skinny Christmas tree on the end table in front of the dvd shelf. It's 7.5 feet, but that is the high part of the ceiling, so I don't think it will be too tall. We'll see. Ugh, decisions, decisions.

Yes, I can tell how tiny your living room is. Mine is a lot like it. Having two couches in there actually fits better than I would have thought. I was sitting here tonight trying to decide what to do about a tree. I have a 4 foot I could put on a stand or table. Or the 7ft pre-lit. I at first wasn't even going to consider the 7 foot this year, but with all that has gone on with Josh & Anoush now I thought maybe they might appreciate a more decorated living room like it used to be.

What you did last year Beckey was very pretty.

Just a quick note to let you know I am going to head to bed. From shoveling snow in the morning, walking around in boots all day when my back isn't use to it, I am pretty achey tonight. Tomorrow will be another long day. And, I guess we are in for some more snow yet this week, only now the temps will go even lower. But I feel like I am building some good stamina. Can shovel and toss snow much better now, but then after doing that, I can't open a jar because my fingers hurt. Owell.

Have a good sleep and let me know what you decide with the tree.

All the southerners who are whining about no snow should read the preceding post.

I have never experienced snow before. One day though...when John drags me to Cleveland again during the winter.

Actually, there's a few very quaint towns that I saw there that would look gorgeous with snow all over. lol

My brother told me about his roommate in college. He woke my brother up to ask what that white stuff was falling from the sky.

Not the workout regime you had envisioned huh? Just think of how you're building up those biceps and triceps. Won't be long and no one will want to mess with you .

ROFLOL!

We went downtown tonight. Took one of our new church members (an airman from the base, she's a really sweet girl) and took lots of pictures. It was pretty cold, even for picture taking. Don't be laughing now (Sharon), but it was 45º and breezy, so it was pretty cold for us.

The kids were pretty good sports, but Ben didn't really want to go. He kept asking if we were lost. He asks that when I'm driving all the time too. Don't know what's up with that. He reads the highway signs and takes them pretty literally. He thought we were going to Del Rio the other day when I was coming back from taking Annie downtown for jury duty. I told him "no, we're going home, but if I kept driving for a long time, and stayed on this highway, we'd end up in Del Rio."

Poor kid, I wonder what goes on in his head sometimes.

Anyhow, I'm uploading the pics now. Got hot water on for hot chocolate.

Depends on how lazy I'm feeling. I usually use picnik when I'm just doing quick edits through my flickr account and it does a pretty decent job. Otherwise, I usually use Paint Shop Pro 7, because that's what I've used for a long time and I'm used to it. I would love to get an official PhotoShop program, but it's not in the budget at the moment.

Noah does that too. The other day, we were going to Watertown and were just outside of Syracuse. He saw a sign with "Watertown" on it and thought it was really close. It's about an hour from there! LOL

I just had an idea...I think I'll try and find him a laminated NY map, so when we go places, he can find where we are. That might help him know where things are. Plus, he'll love it!

This year in my town it snowed once in mid-October, and hasn't snowed again since! This makes me really happy! When I was at the airport last Saturday I heard people complaining that it is December why isn't there snow. Uhm, because this year the universe is in my favor apparently

Ok cool. I'm getting Photoshop Elements for Hanukkah/Christmas. I need to get the free demo first though to see if it has the features I want. MAC version of course.
