What a game Monday night! Nailbiter to the end! Vinatieri is definitely one of the best kickers out there. I read an article in Sport Illustrated about how kickers are the most improved position, stats wise, than any other position in the NFL! Nothing like the drama of a last second field goal attempt. What was cool was that he knew he nailed it right after he kicked it! He saw it going straight and he knew it was headed between the uprights. That's confidence alright!

ORIGINAL: Mark328 I expect that Cleveland and Detroit both will try to lure Marty Schottenheimer or Bill Cowher as their head coach. I suspect that Cowher will land in Cleveland, and I can see Schottenheimer landing in either San Francisco or St. Louis. Funny you mention Cowher, because I saw something in today's sports section of USA Today where Cowher basically hinted at possibly sticking with TV.

Aaron Rogers is the new Brett Favre........NOT!!!!!! I forget which team had the much ballyhooed pass defense with the agressive CB's and safeties? I thought they wore green and yellow! I guess a great QB and team leader can elevate the level of play of the whole team! I stand corrected a strong Offensive line is not the first key to success! Drew Brees is on track to break Dan Marino's single season passing record! WOW! What does he say about it? It would be a Phyrric victory for him if the TEAM does not do well! (ie Super Bowl)

Well...all three games on Thanksgiving were blowouts. Lions lost in brutal fashion, Mike Holmgren might as well quit now, and the Cardinals blew their shot to clinch the NFC West because the receivers couldn't hang on to the ball. About the best highlights were the performances of the National Anthem at all three games (Destiny's Child alum Michelle Williams, Camp Rock's Demi Lovato, and R&B singer Mario respectively)

The Cards will take the West, no doubt about it. A win for them next week or a loss by SF will clinch the title for them. I'm thinking that there will be a Titans-Giants super bowl this year.

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8866348?MSNHPHMA Plaxico's in the headlines again...this time for accidentally shooting himself in the thigh (outside a club, which I think about 90% of the athletes getting arrested or in harm's way tends to involve them at a club). I pray he pulls through, but if I were GM Jerry Reese, I'd hand him his walking papers.

BTW, Giants need to release Plaxico or change his last name from Buress to Duress because that is all he has given the team - lots of duress. Pacman and Plaxico can start a nightclub and name it "Fallen Stars" only because "NFL Stars that have thrown their careers in the toilet because of their off-field antics" is too long a name.

Having been a Vikings fan my entire life, I know for sure that they will lose to Detroit on Sunday. This would be so typical of them. Every time they get the fans' hopes up, they always disappoint. Daunte Culpepper will get revenge on Sunday. I hope my predictions are wrong, but I know the routine.

This will happen only if the Steelers beat the Titans in the playoffs, but that's not an unrealistic prediction.

It would not be unrealistic for the Ravens to even beat the Titans or the Steelers in the playoffs...

When the Steelers play the Titans on the 21st it might tell how the post-season will go. Steelers have the toughest regular season schedule. We'll also have to see how their second regular season meeting goes on the 14th.

My Thoughts on the Games I Saw: Giants-Redskins: Thought the Giants would win and they did Indi-Cincinati: Thought the Colts would of played better. Didn't see it but glad my niners beat the bills Jets-Broncos: Was definetly suprised to see how good the Broncos played. Vikings-Bears: Didn't see much of it but thought the Viks looked impressive. The Texans looked good in their debut of monday night football

ESPN was showing college basketball and pre-empted MNF for that! I was !!!!! Did you check the other ESPN networks? They usually put the game (whatever game it is) on a different ESPN network until whatever game is finished. I can't imagine the NFL would allow ESPN to not broadcast an MNF game. Unless the NFL was ashamed of the game on that nght. What a pair of stinker teams!

I don't know if it was some local tournament but it screwed up my Monday night. As if Mondays weren't bad enough already! Especially after having enjoyed a 4 day weekend! Great...and I had just missed the last INT (Townsend's clinching TD) while I was catching FNIA on NBC (I had it recording on another TV). But yeah, great seeing that. Carolina (closest team to me) is in 1st place in NFC South. Giants missed chance to clinch NFC East, first-round bye and home-field. Cardinals clinched their division...very happy for them. Detroit...will they EVER get a win?

Steelers win in the 4th quarter again. They have outscored opponents 37-0 in the 4th quarter! The 13-9 score of Sunday's game shows the tenacious defense of both teams but the winner was the QB that could put the ball into the end zone! Sorry Baltimore, Flacco is not that guy! Washington has me scratching my head. How does a team like that lose to the Bungles? Eli lost to the Cowboys. Giants should have been able to take them. Who was the higher scoring offense between Minnesota and Arizona? The Vikings? Another upset.

Another upset. The Redskins are experiencing almost an epic collapse right now. And what was the deal with Arizona? They look like they got complacent after wrapping up the NFC West.
