I was prepared to not like Ellen...never had anything to do with her since she "came out" . What can I say, though? I actually liked her. That opening comment about the leopard was funny...that SiBOWski guy did look a little scary...

Felt sorry for the girl from Vonor(?). She should go try out for the country version of Idol over on CMT...probably have a better chance there since she resembles Dolly Parton (in background, not looks).

The famous Mr. Lynch appeared. I feel so sorry for him...to get kicked off after his wife just had a baby...such a shame. Still wonder how they're going to handle it, though. Will they show him getting told by the judges that he made it, then have Ryan tell the audience he didn't? I wonder who replaced him?

I was kind of thinking things were a little flat, too...no Tatiana's and Nathan's this year...at least not yet. Nathan didn't really lose it last season until group night, I think. Will be interesting to see who else goes down in tears.

Is Lynch the big guy? The one whose Dad leaked out top 24?

I know...that's just too bad. I'm sure he was replaced already...wonder if the other Dad was his replacement.

Rumor has it that he has not been disqualified.

My boy Jermaine Purifoy is still holding on strong. His group was the best of the night and they only gave a little taste! Jermaine Sellers did well despite his group being short handed and no chemistry. He said right that he's not a group artist but a soloist. The girl that "led" his group got on my nerves, but moved on despite laughing at the beginning...

Oh, wow, now that would be really interesting. I mean, I hope Lynch goes thru, but what a mess. I wonder if this is some sort of publicity stunt to drive up the ratings? I mean, I found most of last night blah...I just kept thinking about poor Lynch. I wonder how many other people are just waiting for next week to see what happens to him?

Was his the group that had the girl walk out at the last moment? How lame. I didn't know what to make of Simon's comments to the girl from that group who complained. I mean, he was right that they had 12 full hours to get their act together....OTOH, his comment about how groups have to deal with things like having a member walk out all the time annoyed me. Hello? Yes, band members might leave, but five minutes before a concert? I felt sorry for that group and felt they pulled it together admirably.

And yes, that girl who laughed irritated me, too...I felt she should have been eliminated like those who forgot the lyrics.

Felt sorry for that guy with glasses who begged...maybe he should go try out for The X-Factor in a few months, since there's no age limit for that show. Think Simon would remember him favorably?

I kind of felt sorry for Mary....I mean, two of her group did show up late. I would have been irritated by that, too.

I'm from CT so I like the girl from Middletown. She's good. Yeah, that girl who annoyed everybody annoyed me too.

Did the guy who was paid to sing in churches go through? I thought he was good too. I like a lot of them but they are to new for me to remember who they are.

As for Ellen, I'm not to crazy about her. Maybe she will grow on me, but not yet. There were so many people they could have had on that had music experience. You could tell the ones who practiced and the ones who didn't want to. If you don't think you can do it, then you should go home. It's not a walk in the park. If you think it is, then you need to get a clue, buy a vowel.

I liked the guy who played the guitar and did his version of the Paula song. He was very good and very clever. I could see him going somewhere.

If you mean the self proclaimed "Church Boy" Jermaine Sellers, yes, he is through to the next round. He and my friend Jermaine Purifoy (he was in the short stint with Jenell - Tim Tebow's friend, and a long haired gent) are through...as well as the group he sang with. I wanted to hear more of them. They sang Ne-Yo's "Closer". Sellers and Mary(the irritating one) did "Wayward Son". The latter, of course, I didn't want to go on.

I guess that's him. I just remember him saying he sang in a lot of different churches and he got paid, so I thought he must be good or they wouldn't pay him and have him keep singing in churches. That's what I remember about him. I forgot I also like the church pastor with the young son.

This is so funny. I just joined Twitter last week and am following Mandisa and Chris Sligh (who is a SCREAM.) They are both posting their thoughts like mad about which room should stay and go. I really should not be reading this until I get home and watch it on my DVR.

Overall, it was a good show tonight..I agreed with most of the decisions....the last girl with the glasses who was begging was just plain annoying and needed to go gracefully. I think she hurt her chances of another offer by acting so immature.

The 16 yr. old kid was pretty rough around the edges ..but I am glad he made it through...hope he does well...

Chris Sligh, who competed with Sanjaya, had this to say about the boy who forgot his words:

quote:

Aaron=Sanjaya, but with not as good a voice or as good a hair.

And not as interesting a personality.

I couldn't believe that Bryan went home and they kept Aaron, I agree with Chris. I need to follow him on twitter! We had some good conversations on there last night about AI.

I'm glad Mary is gone but was bummed the minute I realized she was in the room with Bryan! I had seen the 'top 24' list so I knew Bryan didn't make that but I wanted him to make the first cut last night.

Yeah, when they showed his audition clips, I remember them hyping up his story and background and Ryan saying, "Prepare to be blown away." I wasn't.

If any of you wish to follow me ... I've been trying to build my Christian base on there and so far the only Christians following me that I know of are David Crowder Band, Air1 Radio, Goatee Records and some band I've never heard of in Nashville. So you are welcome to follow me around if you wish. I am IntrepidReportr

Thaddeus was very good but I think the judges made the right decision in sending him home. At 16 I don't think he's ready for this competition. He should come back in a couple of years and try again. I also don't think the judges were ready for his mama.

I believe Aaron is 16 but I didn't see enough of him to notice his maturity level. Thaddeus just doesn't seem mature enough. I also don't like that AI has contestants that young. They should have to be 18.

Angela Martin was a surprise to me. I really thought she would make it.

Since there are a few that have had almost no air time, I am hesitant in choosing favorites this early.

I guess Michael Lynche is in after all, which I think he should be.
